Troubled Girls Dealing with Divorce | Falcon Ridge Ranch

Divorce affects all the parties involve. It can be even harder on troubled girls. Divorce often forces the teens to have to pick one side or the other. They witness one parent criticism and negative comments over the other. Falcon Ridge Ranch provides these information to parents in an effort to support families with teens who are severely impacted by the disintegration of their family unit. Falcon Ridge Ranch is a residential treatment center for troubled girls who are acting out due to their parents divorcing.

Troubled girls will have various responses to the issues that surround divorces. Teenagers will have various reactions to their mother and father separating. Even when troubled girls know they will still be in contact with both parents, the idea that their parents do not love each other anymore is devastating to them. Teens grow up to understand that commitment to one another especially between their parents should be permanent. When they are at the center of the failure of the commitment, it shakes and destroys all they have come to believe.

Sometimes troubled girls will start to act out sexually, abusing drugs and alcohol as an attempt to make sense of the illusion that they once believed. If you witness some major changes in your child, their grades starts to suffer and they are acting out. You need to take swift action before it gets out of control. They may simply be trying to transition from the divorce.
