When parents are seeking help for their troubled youth they look for schools for troubled teens like similar to Liahona Academy. This is a good option, especially when their child is out of control and making poor choices that will negatively effect the rest of their lives. However, what the parent of a troubled teen really needs is professional help. They need a qualified educational consultant. Liahona Academy helps troubled teens in an array of ways. For more information please call 866-439-8774
Most parents reject the notion of hiring an educaitonal consultant. Why? Because educational consultants are expensive! Well, I disagree. What is expensive is to make a mistake, choose a wrong school or program, and then lose lots of money and add injury to insult. Looking for the right school is like looking for a certain pebble at the bottom of a rushing river. By hiring an educational consultant the parent of the troubled teen will find the perfect match for their child and get peace of mind knowing that they made the right choice. For Christian parents one must seek the will of God. Please enjoy the teaching below. Liahona Academy helps troubled teens.
Four Sure Actions: Isaiah 55:6-11
“Seek the Lord while He may be found.
Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; (forsake wicked ways and unrighteous thoughts…yes, even Christians!)
Let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ says the Lord, ‘for as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.'”

“Forsake Wicked Ways and Unrighteous Thoughts….”
Even as Christians….can wickedness and unrighteous thoughts still be found in us?
The Scriptures exhort in 2 Corinthians 13:5, “Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you? – unless indeed you are disqualified. But I trust that you will know that we are not disqualified. Now I pray to God that you do no evil, not that we should appear approved, but that you should do what is honorable, though we may seem disqualified. For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.” Today, I want to continue with some thoughts from Psalm 50:16-17: “But to the wicked God says: ‘What right have you to declare My statutes, or take My covenant in your mouth, seeing you hate instruction and cast My words behind you?”
The things which He testified against His people and rebuked them for back then, He still does today. Those of His people who live their lives in an unholy and untruthful manner…..He calls wicked! Many modern day “believers” in Christ Jesus erroneously think that if they have the label of “Christian” upon their life, they could never be found in the category of the wicked! But who does God, the Righteous Judge, call wicked?
Those who do not walk uprightly, pursuing holy lives in God’s righteousness and acknowledging Him as the One of Divine Authority are the ones who are not walking in Divine Order. These are found among the wicked. This is what the Mighty One, God the Lord said: “What right have you (wicked ones) to declare My statutes, or take My covenant in your mouth, seeing you hate instruction and cast My words behind you?”
The people who “hate instruction” and (in practice) “cast His words behind them,” He calls…..wicked! What can this mean to people in the modern day church?
When people “cast His words behind them” by not obeying them, they are casting aside His righteous ways, truth, laws, government, policies, procedures, responsibilities, and ethics…in other words, His holiness, and His order. We must pay close attention to God’s words and carefully apply them in our daily lives if we are to be found walking under His Divine Authority and in His Divine Order.
Words and authority are directly related to one another. God releases His authority through His words. He established His authority with His words, and His Word is His authority. It is final, highest, and divine. There is not any other law in the whole universe, anywhere, any place, any time that is above His Word. We cannot add anything to it. We cannot take anything away from it because what He says is the way it IS!!! He does not change; rather, WE change to get in line with Him and His ways!
The word “instruction” in Ps. 50:17 is the Hebrew word, “musar”.& lt;/em> It literally means, correction, chastisement, instruction, discipline, admonition, rebuke, or warning. It comes from the verb “yasar” meaning to reform. It appears 50 times in the OT, 30 of which are found in Proverbs. It is broad enough to encompass chastening by words and by punishment. We are not to hate instruction, which has the power to bring “reformation” in our lives.
“And have you forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: ‘My son, do not despise the chastening (correction, discipline, reformation) of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him.'” This may not be comfortable and we will not “enjoy” it, but we are exhorted not to “hate” this correction and instruction which is necessary in the growth of every believer. For whom the Lord loves, He chastens, and scourges every son whom he received. If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.” (Hebrews 12:5-8)
Our Father loves us with an everlasting love and has such good plans for our lives…many of which are dependant upon our receiving His instruction through His “words” which we must take seriously and obey rather than casting them behind us. Such truth comes from the loving heart of our Lord. “Forsake…..unrighteous thoughts….”
