Along with teens being unique, every divorce is different and unique. If you are the parent concerned of divorce issues in your teen it is important to inform your teen why you and your spouse have chosen divorce without degrading or blaming the other parent.  Troubled teens experiencing divorce issues will sometimes try to make sense of the situation and sometimes blame themselves. An example of teens blaming themselves for divorce issues is “Maybe if I would have done the chores they would never fight, and wouldn’t have gotten a divorce.” Parents that choose divorce also must keep in mind that when troubled teens suffer from divorce issues every bit of normalcy is gone leaving them with unanswered questions.
